The Seventh Feast of The LORD Jesus Christ
TABERNACLES (Sookkœth) סֻכֹּת
[Luke 9:33 KJV] [33] And it came to pass, as they departed from Him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three Tabernacles; one for Thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
ERECT YOURSELF A BOOTH, SOOKKAWH, TABERNACLE, TEMPORARY DWELLING PLACE … A TENT …
… certainly qualifies. After all, Paul, Aquila and Priscilla weren’t making tents for the Roman Soldiers occupying Jerusalem and keeping her Captive. They were making them for those from around the world who journeyed to Jerusalem to keep The Lord’s Feast of Tabernacles each year! (See Acts 18:1-4)
[Deuteronomy 31:9-13 KJV] [9] And Moses wrote this Law, and delivered it unto the priests the Sons of Levi, which bare The Ark of The Covenant of The LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel. [10] And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of [every] Seven Years, in the solemnity of The Year of Release, in The Feast of Tabernacles, [11] When all Israel is come to appear before The LORD thy God in the place which HE SHALL choose, thou shalt read this Law before all Israel in their hearing. [12] Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that [is] within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear The LORD your God, and Observe to Do all The Words of this Law: [13] And [that] their children, which have not known [any thing], may hear, and learn to fear The LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
FOR THE LORD’S FEAST OF TABERNACLES WE SLEEP OUTSIDE OF OUR HOUSES IN TEMPORARY MAN-MADE SHELTERS FOR EIGHT STRAIGHT DAYS, REJOICING AND FEASTING WITH THE LORD!
[Nehemiah 8:14-17 KJV] [14] And they found written in The Law which The LORD had Commanded by Moses, that the Children of Israel should dwell in Booths in The Feast of The Seventh Month: [15] And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the Mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make Booths, as [it is] written. [16] So the people went forth, and brought [them], and made themselves Booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the Courts of The House of God, and in the street of the Water Gate, and in the street of the Gate of Ephraim. [17] And all the Congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made Booths, and sat under the Booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the Children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.
EACH ONE OF THE EIGHT DAYS IS A NEW FEAST AND EACH ONE OF THE EIGHT DAYS IS A SABBATH! …
[Leviticus 23:33-43 KJV] [33] And The LORD spake unto Moses, saying, [34] Speak unto the Children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this Seventh Month [shall be] The Feast of Tabernacles [for] Seven Days unto The LORD. [35] On The First Day [shall be] an Holy Convocation: ye shall do no servile work [therein]. [36] Seven Days ye shall Offer an Offering made by fire unto The LORD: on The Eighth Day shall be an Holy Convocation unto you; and ye shall Offer an Offering made by fire unto The LORD: it [is] a Solemn Assembly; [and] ye shall do no servile work [therein]. [37] These [are] The Feasts of The LORD, which ye shall proclaim [to be] Holy Convocations, to Offer an Offering made by fire unto The LORD, a Burnt Offering, and a Meat Offering, a Sacrifice, and Drink Offerings, every thing upon His Day: [38] Beside The Sabbaths of The LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill Offerings, which ye give unto The LORD. [39] Also in the fifteenth day of The Seventh Month, when ye have Gathered In the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a Feast unto The LORD Seven Days: on the first day [shall be] a Sabbath, and on the eighth day [shall be] a Sabbath. [40] And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before The LORD your God Seven Days. [41] And ye shall keep it a Feast unto The LORD Seven Days in the year. [It shall be] a Statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in The Seventh Month. [42] Ye shall dwell in Booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in Booths: [43] That your generations may know that I made the Children of Israel to dwell in Booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I [AM] The LORD your God.
IN FACT, THE ENTIRE SEVENTH MONTH IS A SABBATH, THE SABBATH OF MONTHS, THE THIRD OF THE SEVEN SABBATHS! …
[Exodus 34:23-25 KJV] [23] Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before The Lord GOD, The God of Israel. [24] For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before The LORD thy God thrice in the year. [25] Thou shalt not offer the blood of My Sacrifice with leaven; neither shall The Sacrifice of The Feast of The Passover be left unto the morning.
The Lord Jesus Christ Commands us to go to the place where He places His name three times in the year to keep His Feasts. The first time is the beginning of the year, in the first Biblical Hebrew month, during early Spring for Passover. The Passover Feasts, including The Lord’s Feast of Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits, are all eaten with Unleavened Bread. These first three Feasts of The Lord last eight days total. Notice that God Commands no one will even desire to steal our property while we’re away.
The second time is in late Spring, in the third Biblical Hebrew month for The Lord’s Feast Pentecost, which occurs Seven Sabbaths and one day after His Feast of Firstfruits. That’s also Fifty Days. This Fourth Feast of The Lord lasts one day.
The third time is at the beginning of Fall, in which The Lord’s Feast of Trumpets is kept on the first Sabbath Day. That Selfsame Day is the first of The Seventh Biblical Hebrew month. The Lord’s Feast of The Day of Atonement is kept on the 10th of the same month, and His Feast of Tabernacles is kept for eight straight days from The Sabbath Day on the 15th through the next Sabbath Day on the 22nd. We all go home on the 23rd of The Seventh Biblical Hebrew Month.
Astronomically, it takes the sun 22 days to pass through this Month. Biblically, Solomon sends all the people home from Tabernacles on the 23rd of The Month.
[2 Chronicles 7:10 KJV] And on the three and twentieth day of The Seventh Month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that The LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel His people.
We remain in the place where God places His name for 22 days during The Seventh Biblical Hebrew Month, then go home on the last day. Thus, by necessity, and by God’s Perfect Design, we have the entire Seventh Biblical Hebrew month off of work. IT IS, indeed, The Sabbath of Months!
